HIGH SANNIO

POSITION

Fragneto is located in the Alto Sannio at the foot of the Toppa Barrata hill, between the Tammaro and Calore rivers, near the Lenta and Raventa streams. The territory is mainly hilly, but still very fertile. It is located at a height s.l.m. which varies from 111 to 530 meters and has an extension of almost 25 km2. It falls within Zone I of seismic classification and is an integral part of the Upper Tammaro Mountain Community and of the agrarian region n.4 “Hills of the Calore Irpino Inferior”.

It is (as the crow flies) about 14 km from its provincial capital, 62 km from the regional capital and 202 km from the capital. However, to travel is guaranteed by an effective transport network.
